Wikipedia is excellent for starting a search and gathering search terms. The links at the bottom of the articles are usually reliable sources of information. But Wikipedia articles have been written by multiple authors, which sometimes affects the grammar, complexity and truthfulness (reliability) of the articles. Bad grammar and typos on any website are often clues that the site was not edited well.

Wikipedia can be the start of your search, but most college professors and teachers prefer that students use resources with more authority than Wikipedia when completing research.
